Greater Bay Area Exhibition Industry Alliance Launched with 160 Founding Members

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Exhibition Industry Alliance was launched on 15 September 2025 at the third Greater Bay Area Development Business Conference. It was founded jointly by the Guangdong sub-council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade together with CCPIT's representative offices in Hong Kong and Macao, China International Exhibition Center Group and other institutions. The alliance started with 160 member organisations spanning the exhibition and conference value chain, including show and conference organisers, venue operators, event service providers and universities. Its stated purpose is to pool exhibition resources across the Greater Bay Area: using exhibitions to build industrial chains, so that permanent industrial clusters and the temporary clusters created by trade fairs reinforce each other; using exhibitions as a platform for a debut-launch economy that lifts consumption; using exhibitions to strengthen collaboration between cities and build a world-class exhibition city cluster; and using exhibitions as a medium to develop a shared Greater Bay Area trade-and-exhibition brand with global competitiveness.
