Hellman & Friedman to acquire Hyve Group from Providence and Searchlight
B2B events organiser Hyve Group announced that private equity firm Hellman & Friedman has agreed to acquire the company from Providence Equity Partners and Searchlight Capital Partners, with completion expected by the end of the calendar year. Hyve said the investment reflects continuing demand for premium B2B events and that it will focus on accelerating international launches, expanding adjacent products and services, and scaling into growth markets through acquisitions. The company has delivered three consecutive years of double-digit organic revenue growth and EBITDA above $100m, and is on track to complete its three-year GO27 strategy a year early. Its portfolio spans healthcare, ecommerce, edtech, supply chain and martech. CEO Mark Shashoua thanked Providence and Searchlight; H&F partner Hunter Philbrick said AI-driven matchmaking turns physical gatherings into year-round ecosystems. Providence, represented by Andrew Tisdale and Robert Sudo, cited seven strategic acquisitions and five event launches over three years; Searchlight was represented by James Redmayne and Thomas De Cannière. RAN Advisory advised Hellman & Friedman.
