91% of Mainland Enterprises Plan ASEAN Expansion via Hong Kong, Malaysia Emerges as Top Target Market

HKTDC research shows 91% of surveyed mainland Chinese enterprises plan to expand into ASEAN, with Malaysia standing out as a key destination for semiconductor, AI and high-value industries. Some 83% of ASEAN-bound enterprises plan to use Hong Kong professional services as their bridge.
