IAEE Promotes Hannah Deters to Vice President of Exhibitions and Events

The International Association of Exhibitions and Events has promoted Hannah Deters to vice president of exhibitions and events. She previously served as the association's director of events and sustainability and has been with the organisation for seven years. In the new role she oversees IAEE's global events portfolio, which includes Expo! Expo!, the association's annual meeting and exhibition, and is responsible for setting long-term event strategy in line with the association's strategic plan while building and maintaining relationships with industry partners and key stakeholders. She also leads IAEE's environmental sustainability programmes, oversees event-related technology solutions and negotiates contracts with venues, destinations and service providers. Beyond event operations she continues to represent the association within the industry, acting as staff liaison to key committees, developing relationships with industry organisations and speaking for IAEE at trade shows and events. President and chief executive Marsha Flanagan said Deters has consistently shown leadership and commitment to members and the industry, and that her expertise and record make her well suited to lead the area. Deters said she looks forward to working with the team to create experiences that drive growth and innovation for members and partners.
