ICC Sydney to Host the Southern Hemisphere's Largest CBD Solar Farm

International Convention Centre Sydney says it is set to become home to the Southern Hemisphere's largest CBD solar farm. The installation is expected to generate about 2.6 gigawatt hours of renewable electricity a year, enough to power around 300 to 400 average Australian homes. NSW Minister for Planning and Public Spaces Paul Scully said coming to one of the world's most environmentally friendly convention centres is a big selling point. ICC Sydney CEO Adam Mather-Brown called the project another milestone in the venue's sustainability work. Around 150 panels removed during the upgrade will be donated to the Kindly Animal Sanctuary near Armidale.
