ILTM Africa 2026 Showcases Sensory-Led Luxury

RX has previewed ILTM Africa 2026, running 10 to 12 April at the Norval Foundation in Cape Town, where luxury travel suppliers meet high-end travel buyers through curated appointments. International delegates represent 32 countries. The edition is built around what the organiser calls sensory-led luxury, meaning immersive experiences that engage visitors through scent, sound, taste and touch rather than conventional stand presentations, reflecting a shift among luxury travellers toward place-based, experiential journeys. On-site elements include Jeep transfers and a musical welcome by the Isibane se Afrika Choir, a custom ILTM Africa fragrance created by Cape Island, a wine tourism focus featuring Klein Constantia Wine Estate, and an interactive conservation art installation from Painted Wolf Wines. African luxury brands on show include Wazawazi leather goods, Kalahari Truffles and Holy Kow. Operationally, the event introduces a new app with enhanced lead-generation features and launches a luxury magazine collaboration with Voyages Afrique. Megan De Jager, Portfolio Director at RX Africa, said the 32-country delegate base reinforces the show's role as the leading meeting place for African luxury travel. James Vos, Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth and Tourism, said tourism accounts for nearly 7 percent of Cape Town's workforce and is a powerful economic driver for the city.
