Informa Reports 2026 Half Year Results and Raises Share Buyback to £350m

Informa, the B2B live events, B2B digital services and academic markets group, has published half year results for 2026 showing underlying revenue growth of 6.8 per cent excluding non-recurring data contracts, reaffirming full year guidance and increasing its 2026 share buyback programme to 350 million pounds. Underlying operating profit rose 6.9 per cent on the same basis; including the non-recurring contracts in the comparison, the figures were 5.1 per cent and 2.4 per cent. Reported revenue was 2,063.8 million pounds against 2,035.9 million a year earlier, with adjusted operating profit of 548.3 million pounds against 578.9 million and adjusted diluted earnings per share of 26.6 pence against 29.8 pence, reflecting biennial phasing and in-year event rescheduling in conflict-affected markets in India, the Middle East and Africa. Statutory operating profit was 323.3 million pounds against a 137.0 million loss a year earlier. The group said 4.5 billion US dollars of revenue is committed or visible through subscriptions, forward bookings and contracts, around 80 per cent of 2026 targeted revenues. A 500 million pound six-year Eurobond extends average debt maturity to 4.4 years. Group chief executive Stephen A. Carter said the company delivered another period of strong performance and underlying growth.
