International attendees at DWTC events spent AED 9,900 each and stayed 5.6 days in 2025

Of the 2.18 million people who attended Dubai World Trade Centre events in 2025, 947,000 came from outside the United Arab Emirates, or 44 percent of the total. The economic impact assessment DWTC commissioned sets out how differently that group behaves. An international attendee spent an average of AED 9,900 per event, which the assessment puts at seven times the spending of a local attendee, and stayed an average of 5.6 days in Dubai. Every 100 international attendees brought a further 22 companions with them. Those three figures explain why the venue's headline output number is so much larger than its ticketed audience would suggest: the spending lands in hotels, restaurants, retail and transport rather than in the halls. For an organiser weighing Dubai against another host city, the international share and the length of stay are the two variables that move the destination case, and DWTC publishes both alongside its output figure for the year.
