İstanbul hosted 190 of Türkiye's 461 fairs and 1.8 million square metres of stand space in 2025
İstanbul hosted 190 of the 461 fairs Türkiye staged in 2025, ahead of İzmir on 37. Those events carried 57,259 exhibitors, 4,423,098 visitors and 1,812,703 square metres of net stand space, against national totals of 85,508 exhibitors, 20,093,019 visitors and 3,447,160 square metres. The city's weight is heaviest on the international measures. It hosted 12,955 direct foreign exhibitors on 197,819 square metres and 6,673 indirect foreign exhibitors on 149,531 square metres, and 667,602 of the country's 863,581 foreign visitors came through İstanbul. On visitors the balance shifts, with 4,423,098 in İstanbul against 20,093,019 nationally, since much of Türkiye's footfall comes from large public-facing fairs held in other provinces. For an exhibitor targeting foreign buyers rather than domestic footfall, İstanbul is where the register locates them, and the gap between the city and the rest of the country is widest on exactly those measures. The city figures are published on the same ten measures as the national totals.
