JETRO Food Export Business Matching at FOODEX JAPAN 2026: 210 Companies from 41 Prefectures Meet 16 International Buyers from 14 Countries
JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) announced its Food Export Business Matching event to be held March 11-12, 2026 at Tokyo Big Sight Conference Building 6F, running alongside FOODEX JAPAN, the largest food trade show in Asia. The event brings together 210 Japanese companies from 41 prefectures and 16 food buyers from 14 countries, with 256 planned business discussions. The largest product category is condiments, oils, dressings, and spices with 71 companies (33.8%), followed by confectionery (37 companies, 17.6%), alcoholic beverages (19 companies, 9%), and beverages (18 companies, 8.6%), with additional categories including frozen foods, grains and noodles, seafood products, and canned goods. In a prior year success story, a soy sauce and miso company negotiated with a Chilean buyer and projected more than 10 million yen in concluded deals.
