JETRO Returns to IMTS 2026 After 8-Year Absence with Japan Pavilion Showcasing Precision Manufacturing Technology in Chicago
JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) is establishing a Japan Pavilion at IMTS 2026, the International Manufacturing Technology Show and one of the world four largest machine tool exhibitions, at McCormick Place in Chicago from September 14-19, 2026. Ten Japanese mid-sized and small enterprises will exhibit precision machining technology, machine tools, measurement and inspection devices, automation solutions, and industrial components. This marks JETRO return to IMTS after an 8-year absence since 2018. JETRO will provide participating companies with capacity-building seminars, business matchmaking, and appointment-setting support to facilitate partnerships with North American manufacturers. According to JETRO 2025 survey data, 48.3% of Japanese companies operating in the US plan to expand operations within 1-2 years, citing growing local market needs.
