Las Vegas Convention Center Completes 600 Million Dollar Renovation, Welcomes CES 2026

The Las Vegas Convention Center has completed a 600 million US dollar renovation of its legacy campus, a project begun in 2023 that extends the design and technology of the 1 billion dollar West Hall, opened in 2021, across the full 4.6 million square foot site. The rebuilt Central Hall Grand Lobby gains a glass curtain wall for natural light and a 75 by 42 foot digital screen with supporting displays for exhibitor branding. A climate-controlled interior concourse now links the North and South Halls so visitors no longer have to go outside, and the South Hall has been redesigned with a new eastern entrance, a boardroom and administrative offices. An architectural ribbon roof extension carries the West Hall signature across the campus. CES 2026 was the first major event in the renovated space, spanning 2.6 million net square feet across 13 venues, with airlines adding more than 360 flights from nine countries. LVCVA President and CEO Steve Hill called the milestone the next leap for trade shows in Las Vegas. CTA Executive Chair and CEO Gary Shapiro said no other city continues to invest so ambitiously in attendee experience. The centre expects to host more than 48 trade shows and 1.23 million attendees in 2026, against 1.06 million in 2025.
