Las Vegas Ranks No. 1 in U.S. News and World Report's Inaugural Best Conference Cities Ranking

Las Vegas has taken first place in the inaugural 2026-2027 Best Conference Cities ranking published by U.S. News and World Report. The study assessed 52 major US destinations, of which 30 made the final ranking and 10 received Gold Badge status. The methodology, developed with event industry experts, weighed meeting and event space, destination appeal, accessibility, affordability, safety and sustainability, balancing practical planning factors against experiential ones. The release cites the city's infrastructure in support: close to 15 million square feet of meeting and convention space, three of the ten largest convention centres in the United States including the newly renovated 4.6 million square foot Las Vegas Convention Center, 150,000 hotel rooms, and Harry Reid International Airport with non-stop service to more than 150 destinations. On performance, events are said to see an average 10 percent increase in attendance when held in Las Vegas. The destination hosted six million convention attendees in 2025 and 2.5 million in the first four months of 2026, up 10.1 percent year on year. LVCVA President and CEO Steve Hill said the distinction underscores best-in-class meeting and event infrastructure combined with the Las Vegas experience.
