Las Vegas Welcomes 38.5 Million Visitors in a Complex Year Marked by Shifting Travel Dynamics

The LVCVA has published 2025 figures showing Las Vegas received 38.5 million visitors, down 7.5 percent on 2024, with December alone at 3.1 million, down 9.2 percent. The business-events side held up far better than leisure: the destination hosted 6.0 million convention attendees in 2025, essentially level with 2024. The Las Vegas Convention Center is projected to draw about 1.2 million trade show attendees in 2026, up from 1.0 million in 2025, as its renovated campus comes into full use. Hotel metrics softened across the year, with annual occupancy at 80.3 percent, down 3.3 percentage points, an average daily rate of 183.52 US dollars, down 5.0 percent, and RevPAR of 147.30 US dollars, down 8.8 percent, although the rate and RevPAR figures still rank third-highest on record. The authority attributes the shifts to cautious consumer sentiment, particularly among value-oriented travellers, and to international travel conditions. LVCVA President and CEO Steve Hill said Las Vegas remains a category of one and that the focus will stay on delivering value and experiences that reinforce its position as a leading leisure and business destination. Major 2026 events cited include WrestleMania 42, the Las Vegas Grand Prix and UFC International Fight Week.
