London Book Fair's Final Chapter at Olympia Comes to a Close with Successful 2026 Edition

The London Book Fair ran 10 to 12 March 2026 at Olympia London and closed with 1,005 exhibitors and more than 33,000 visitors. The organiser frames this as the fair's final chapter at Olympia, but the release does not explain the reason for the move and does not name the venue or dates the fair will move to. More than 50 publishing deals were announced across the three days, including agreements involving authors Idris Elba, Mike Gayle and Mishal Husain. The closing day programme featured Monica Westin of Cambridge University Press on developments in scholarly publishing and a keynote from Jill Luber, Chief Technology Officer of Elsevier, on sustainable research systems. Author A.F. Steadman appeared alongside Rt Hon Ian Murray MP, Minister of State for Media, Tourism and the Creative Industries. The Trailblazer Awards 2026 were presented, and the National Literacy Trust hosted networking sessions connecting students with the industry. Emma Lowe, Director of The London Book Fair, said the day's programme highlighted the importance of nurturing the next generation of publishing professionals, and called the occasion bittersweet as the fair bids farewell to Olympia while looking forward to welcoming everyone back for its next chapter.
