MATRADE and DHL Express Deepen Strategic Partnership to Strengthen Export Resilience of Malaysian MSMEs

MATRADE and DHL Express signed a new Memorandum of Understanding extending their strategic collaboration through the 'Trade and Grow Beyond Borders' programme, combining online content with in-person workshops covering e-commerce, financing, marketing, logistics, customs compliance, and sustainable scaling. Geographic focus areas include ASEAN, South Asia, Central Asia, and Africa. Since the programme's inception in November 2022, nearly 700 participants across eight Malaysian states have benefited, with seven MSMEs selected for the DHL GoTrade GBSN Fellowship. Malaysia hosted the first DHL GoTrade Summit outside Germany in 2025. The partnership addresses current trade challenges including shifting US tariff policies, a 30% decline in West Asia trade, and elevated freight risk premiums.
