Taiwan Pet Industry Booms: President Lai Says Supply Chain Worth NT$80 Billion

President Lai Ching-te attended the Taipei Pet Products Show and announced that Taiwan's pet supply chain has reached NT$80 billion in output value. The show attracted 480 companies and 2,100 booths, a record scale. With cat ownership now surpassing dogs, the government plans to accelerate pet food safety regulations and promote an SME upgrading act to help small businesses grow within the expanding pet economy.
