Messe Frankfurt Launches Food Production Solutions Show in Chicago

Messe Frankfurt Inc. has launched the Food Production Solutions Show, a new trade show for food manufacturers, to run 26–28 October 2027 at McCormick Place in Chicago. The event is organised around the manufacturer's journey rather than product categories, on the premise that food companies face formulation, food safety, labour, automation and expansion decisions at the same time. The show floor is divided into four Solution Zones: Product Development & Planning; Regulatory & Compliance; Production & Facilities; and Operations & Scaling. Programming includes collaboration labs where experts and manufacturers work through real operational problems, education hubs inside each zone, and production line demonstrations. Messe Frankfurt Inc. president and chief executive Constantin Von Vieregge said food manufacturers do not think in silos and the event was created to reflect how food businesses actually operate. Kerstin Horaczek, vice president of technology shows at Messe Frankfurt GmbH, said the launch extends to North America the work the company has done through IFFA. Chris Lyons, president and chief executive of the Food Processing Suppliers Association, also backed the concept. Exhibitor sales open in late 2026 and attendee registration in mid-2027.
