Messe Friedrichshafen Commissions 5.5 MWp Rooftop Solar Plant
Messe Friedrichshafen says its new large-scale photovoltaic plant, with 5.5 MWp of capacity, is deliberately sized beyond the venue's own needs: around two thirds of the solar power generated feeds into the regional grid and so also benefits the city and the surrounding area. Martin Hahn, member of the state parliament for the Lake Constance district, visited the rooftops and the battery storage with representatives of his constituency office and the local Green party branch, accompanied by media. Managing Director Klaus Wellmann, authorised officer Stefan Mittag and Roman Bodenmüller, Managing Director of Messe Friedrichshafen Energie Projektgesellschaft, set out how generation, storage and grid feed-in work together, and discussed the economic weight of the fair business for Friedrichshafen and the district.
