Ninth CIIE opens applications for supporting events until 30 September

The China International Import Expo Bureau opened applications to host supporting events at the 9th CIIE, which runs from 5 to 10 November 2026 in Shanghai. Organisations can apply through the supporting events section of the official CIIE website, where application guidance, an FAQ and downloads are published; the deadline is 30 September 2026 Beijing time. The bureau said supporting events are an integral part of the expo and cover policy briefings, investment promotion, matchmaking and contract signing, industry seminars and product launches. More than 1,300 such events have been held since the first edition. At the 8th CIIE, 83 supporting events took place: international organisations including the International Trade Centre and UNICEF ran policy briefings and industry seminars, while provinces and cities including Beijing, Liaoning, Dalian, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Shandong, Shenzhen and Xinjiang ran matchmaking and investment promotion activities.
