Perkosmi Opens Indonesia Cosmetics Ingredients 2026 to Drive Beauty Industry Innovation
The Indonesian Cosmetics Association (Perkosmi) staged Indonesia Cosmetics Ingredients (ICI) 2026 at JIEXPO Kemayoran in Central Jakarta from 6 to 8 May 2026, under the theme "Innovating the Future of Cosmetic Ingredients: Technology, Safety, and Sustainable Excellence". Positioned as a B2B exhibition and seminar platform for the cosmetics and personal care industry, ICI brings together manufacturers, raw material suppliers, packaging providers, machinery companies and supporting institutions. This edition drew 98 domestic and international companies across 564 booths, with the organiser targeting more than 15,000 visitors. Supporting programmes included scientific seminars, an Innovation Zone for raw materials, a Formulation Lab, the Applied Research Innovation Competition and the Innovation Zone Best Ingredients Award. Perkosmi chairman Sancoyo Antarikso said technology, safety and sustainability are now the three decisive factors in product development, and that the association wants Indonesian players to lead innovation rather than follow trends, describing its ambition as displacing K-Beauty with I-Beauty. Taruna Ikrar, head of the national drug and food agency BPOM, called the show a strategic forum for strengthening the upstream segment of the cosmetics industry. The cosmetics market across domestic and global channels was estimated at around IDR 35.6 trillion in 2025.
