RX Japan has previewed NEPCON JAPAN 2026, the show's 40th anniversary edition, running 21 to 23 January 2026 at Tokyo Big Sight and occupying the entire venue with more than 1,850 exhibitors expected. The show covers electronics manufacturing, semiconductors and advanced packaging technologies, and runs alongside three co-located exhibitions: AUTOMOTIVE WORLD, which addresses software-defined vehicles, sustainable materials, EV disassembly displays and an AI hackathon; Factory Innovation Week, covering automation, robotics, sustainable manufacturing, humanoid robots and wearable technology; and Smart Logistics Expo, with electric trucks and supply chain solutions. The anniversary programme includes a special executive discussion on how technology will evolve over the next five to ten years, a keynote on advanced packaging by Scott Chen, Senior Vice President of Advanced Semiconductor Engineering, and a keynote by Dr Rao R. Tummala of Georgia Tech on the emergence of India's semiconductor industry. More than 200 seminars feature speakers from Infineon Technologies Japan, StarPower Semiconductor and Intel, with further keynotes from Toyota's Hirofumi Inoue and Honda's Toshihiro Akiwa. Show Director Masaki Soda said the 40th year is not just a milestone but a reflection of how far the industry has come.
