RX Welcomes Alison Powell as Its First Global Chief Marketing Officer

RX has appointed Alison Powell to the newly created role of Global Chief Marketing Officer, announced on 24 February 2026. She reports directly to Chief Executive Officer Hugh Jones and joins the executive leadership team. The remit covers shaping and executing global marketing strategy, building scaled digital, data and AI-enabled marketing capability, leading a unified global marketing culture, and overseeing the marketing leaders across the company's business unit hubs. Creating the position at group level signals an intent to consolidate marketing capability that had been distributed across regions and portfolios. Powell brings more than 20 years of senior global marketing leadership spanning both business-to-business and consumer sectors, with previous roles at Elsevier, BP, AstraZeneca and Kellogg's. Most recently she was Chief Marketing Officer at Elsevier Health, where she led a global organisation of more than 190 marketers and drove a marketing transformation that embedded return-on-investment metrics, data-driven decision-making and AI-powered innovation. Hugh Jones said her deep global experience, proven record of driving transformational marketing performance and passion for customer-focused innovation make her ideal to accelerate growth. Powell said she looks forward to working with colleagues worldwide to elevate marketing impact.
