Salone del Mobile Unveils OMA Curatorial Masterplan for New Salone Contract 2027

Salone del Mobile has presented Salone Contract 2027, a new project whose Curatorial Masterplan is by Rem Koolhaas and David Gianotten of OMA. The organiser says the project is dedicated to one of the most dynamic fields in the industry, bringing design, production, supply and management together across the entire lifecycle of large-scale developments. On that premise, Salone and OMA have shaped an idea of Contract as a collaborative ecosystem that brings clients, designers, manufacturers and operators together throughout every phase of a project. According to the organiser, the model moves beyond the traditional supply chain and recognises projects, rather than individual products, as the true drivers of value creation.
