Spanish food associations sign memoranda for ninth CIIE in Madrid

A seminar for the 9th China International Import Expo was held in Madrid on 15 April 2026 local time, jointly organised by the CIIE Bureau, the Chinese embassy in Spain and the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. More than ten Spanish trade promotion bodies, industry associations and companies took part, including the Andalusian trade promotion agency, the Spanish dairy association, the Spanish poultry meat association, the Spanish white pig association, a Spanish exhibition operating group and the Spain-China Friendship Association, and several signed cooperation memoranda with the bureau. Speakers included Chang Hexi, counsellor at the Chinese embassy in Spain; Hua Wei, president of the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai; Marga Ramón López, strategic partnerships director at the Spanish foreign trade and investment institute; and Yang Kaiyu, general manager of the Madrid branch of ICBC Europe.
