Specialised fairs make up 450 of Türkiye's 461 events and nearly all of its stand space

Türkiye's 2025 calendar divides into 450 specialised fairs and 11 general fairs. The 450 specialised events hosted 80,769 exhibitors and 19,032,535 visitors and took 3,393,500 square metres of stand space. The 11 general fairs hosted 4,739 exhibitors and 1,060,484 visitors on 53,660 square metres. The gap in international reach is wider still: specialised fairs drew 861,592 foreign visitors against 1,989 at general fairs, and took 12,936 direct foreign exhibitors against 1,903. Türkiye therefore runs an almost entirely sector-based calendar, with general multi-sector fairs surviving as a small residual category rather than a parallel market. For an exhibitor, the practical consequence is that a Turkish fair will almost always be defined by a product group rather than by a region or a season, so the sector classification in the register is the first filter worth applying. Both categories are reported on identical measures, and the register applies the same classification to every event in the year.
