SurfaceTechnology GERMANY 2026 to open in Stuttgart with twelve focus areas

Deutsche Messe previewed SurfaceTechnology GERMANY, the three-day industry gathering for surface technology taking place in Stuttgart, saying companies from around the world will show how they are tackling current sector challenges. The organiser described a market environment shaped by high energy costs, stringent environmental regulation including REACH and sustainability mandates, a persistent skilled labour shortage, a subdued order situation and geopolitical uncertainty, compounded by the resources tied up in digital automation and modernising existing systems. Project director Ramtin Randjbar-Moshtaghin said face-to-face exchange matters more in challenging times and that the fair provides a platform for innovation, knowledge transfer and networking. The event is supported by two partners, the Central Association of Surface Technology (ZVO) and VDMA Surface Technology, both active in political discourse on preserving businesses, jobs and Germany competitiveness as an industrial location. The programme spans twelve exhibition focus areas, reflecting the role of surface technology as a cross-sector enabling process for mobility, mechanical engineering, metalworking, aerospace, medical technology and electronics.
