SurfaceTechnology GERMANY closed after welcoming more than 4,600 visitors from 46 nations, with 30% coming from abroad, and more than 210 exhibitors. After Germany, the largest visitor contingents came from Switzerland, Turkey and Italy, and the share of trade visitors was high, which the organiser said was reflected in the quality of discussions. Exhibitors reported intensive discussions, a high proportion of first-class contacts and a well-attended STG.ExpertForum across all three days. Project manager Ramtin Randjbar-Moshtaghin of Deutsche Messe said the team is very satisfied with how the event went and that the three days again showed mutual exchange is indispensable to a successful trade fair. Martin Riester, spokesperson for surface technology at the VDMA, said the value of a strong network is particularly evident in economically challenging times and that the fair demonstrated the innovative spirit of the industry remains unbroken despite difficult conditions.
