Taipei City Government and TAITRA Take 10 AI Companies to Japan Taiwan Image Show, Generating USD 8.75 Million in Potential Deals

Taipei City Government's Department of Economic Development, together with TAITRA, led 10 companies to the 2026 Japan Taiwan Image Show from 15 to 17 July, establishing a Taipei Pavilion themed Smart Technology, Innovative Taipei. The delegation targeted Japan's large market demand in ageing-society care, workforce allocation and enterprise digital transformation, generating over USD 8.75 million in potential business opportunities. Six companies showcased enterprise AI solutions including AI voice recognition and translation, electronic billing and marketing platforms, IT managed services, smart parking via licence plate recognition, AI anti-fraud systems and AI implementation services for SMEs. Four companies presented smart healthcare products covering contactless vital sign detection, personalised tumour avatars via blood culture, smart laboratory solutions, non-image-based fall detection and consumable-free air quality management. Matching sessions, VIP tours, media interviews and visits to Tokyo Innovation Base and Cambridge Innovation Center Tokyo were arranged to help companies build local business networks. The delegation also previewed upcoming trade missions to Singapore and Thailand under the 2026 Taipei City Business Expansion Plan.
