Taiwan Excellence Brands Make ITS America Debut, Drawing Attention from US Infrastructure Industry
Commissioned by Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs Bureau of Foreign Trade, TAITRA organized the first-ever Taiwan Excellence delegation to the ITS America Conference and Expo in Detroit, Michigan, fielding 16 companies with 40 exhibits — the largest international pavilion at the show. The delegation showcased solutions spanning in-vehicle computing, smart traffic infrastructure, sensing and visual analytics, ADAS, and edge AI. AECOM Vice President Bob made a dedicated visit to the Taiwan pavilion, while representatives from WSP, ITS America, and GM Ventures also attended the Taiwan Excellence showcase event. A product launch reception on June 9 drew over 30 US transportation and mobility industry representatives, including officials from the state DOTs of Utah, Texas, and North Carolina. TAITRA noted that many Taiwanese solutions are built on architectures from NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel, offering cybersecurity compliance suitable for US public infrastructure procurement. Taiwan is also slated to host the ITS World Congress in Taipei in 2029.
