The Expo Group Appoints Chris Cavanaugh as President, Corporate

The Expo Group has appointed Chris Cavanaugh as president, corporate, with a brief covering corporate growth strategy and the expansion of the company's experiential marketing platform through acquisitions, added capabilities and product innovation. In the role he oversees corporate development, brand marketing, acquisition integration and expansion strategy, and shapes the client strategies intended to turn events into measurable business results. Chief executive Randy Pekowski described Cavanaugh as a combination of visionary and operator with 30 years spent building brands and scaling businesses across experiential marketing, exhibitions and marketing services. Cavanaugh was previously chief executive of The Imagine Group, a provider of creative, print and digital solutions, and before that chief marketing officer of Freeman, where he led global brand strategy during a period of significant expansion. He also held senior roles at experiential agency Jack Morton and founded Jumpstart Consulting, advising private equity firms and executive teams on growth strategy and acquisitions. Cavanaugh said demand for authentic in-person experiences continues to grow as digital technologies reshape audience engagement, and that the strongest strategies combine data and insight with human connection.
