33 Destinations Receive DMAP Accreditation at Destinations International 2026 Convention

Destinations International has announced that nine destination organisations received Destination Marketing Accreditation Program accreditation and a further 24 were reaccredited, bringing the total recognised to 33. The announcement was made at the association's 2026 Annual Convention in Portland, Oregon. DMAP recognises destination marketing organisations that meet the industry standard for performance and accountability. Several organisations achieved accreditation with distinction, an honour reserved for those that go beyond the required standards to demonstrate the breadth of their operation and their commitment to the destination they serve. Newly accredited organisations include Florida's Sports Coast in Pasco County, Tourism Kingston, Visit Beaufort, Port Royal and Sea Islands, Visit Charlotte, Visit College Station, Visit Overland Park, Play Qiddiya City, the Punta Gorda and Englewood Beach Visitor & Convention Bureau, and Visit Florida Keys. Destinations International president and chief executive Don Welsh said accreditation reflects a commitment to organisational excellence, accountability and service to the communities represented. Patrick Kaler, president and chief executive of Visit Buffalo and chair of the DMAP board, said accreditation gives stakeholders confidence that an organisation has the leadership, systems and expertise to strengthen the visitor economy.
