Three sectors produced 55 percent of the economic value at DWTC events in 2025
Three sectors produced most of the economic value in Dubai World Trade Centre's 2025 calendar. Healthcare and medical events led with 20 events, more than 434,000 attendees and AED 3.73 billion in gross value added. Food and beverage followed with 7 events, more than 280,000 participants and AED 2.38 billion, and ICT, electronics and emerging technology with 7 events, more than 337,000 attendees and AED 1.99 billion. Together the three accounted for 55 percent of total gross value added, 48 percent of attendees and 59 percent of international participants. The spending they generated landed mostly outside the halls. Accommodation took AED 3.79 billion, travel and transport AED 2.98 billion, retail trade AED 2.55 billion, restaurants and food and beverage AED 2.1 billion, business entertainment AED 1.81 billion and government services AED 252 million. The figures come from the economic impact assessment DWTC commissioned for 2025, a year in which the venue hosted 108 large-scale events in total.
