UBRAFE and ABRACE Formalize Strategic Partnership to Improve Working Conditions in Brazilian Events Industry
UBRAFE, the Brazilian Union of Business Fairs and Events, and ABRACE, the Brazilian Scenography and Booth Assembly Association, formalized a strategic cooperation agreement signed on July 29, 2026, to strengthen the business events industry and improve working conditions during the setup and teardown phases of events. The partnership focuses on improving hygiene facilities, hydration, thermal comfort, and food provision for event workers, along with disseminating best practices and educational campaigns. It also includes process standardization across venues and fair organizers, technical compliance monitoring of venue conditions, and the provision of collective facilities for meals, rest, and hydration. The agreement was signed by Paulo Ventura (UBRAFE President), Guto Guedes (ABRACE President), Paulo Octavio Pereira de Almeida (UBRAFE Executive Director), and Paulo Passos (ABRACE Executive Director). Brazil hosts over 2,000 fairs and events annually, generating more than R$1 trillion in business transactions.
