UK Exhibitions Averaged 121 Exhibiting Companies in 2025, Rising to 178 at Primary Venues
UK exhibitions averaged 121 exhibiting companies per event in 2025. By type the average was 144 for trade exhibitions, 146 for consumer exhibitions and 57 for conferences with an exhibition element; by venue it was 178 at primary venues, 103 at secondary venues and 71 at other and outdoor venues. Looking at the distribution, 35% of exhibitions fell into the medium band of 50 to 150 exhibiting companies, 30% had 50 or fewer, 24% had between 151 and 300 and 11% had more than 300. Trade and consumer exhibitions were noticeably heavier, with 40% and 41% respectively carrying more than 150 exhibiting companies, whereas conferences skewed small: 57% had 50 or fewer and only 1% exceeded 300. The gap between venue tiers is just as clear, with 17% of exhibitions at primary venues having more than 300 exhibiting companies, against 4% at secondary venues and 5% at other and outdoor venues.
