Where Chinese Sectors Exhibit Abroad: Germany for Machinery, Turkey for Logistics, the United States for Consumer Goods
Chinese companies choose distinctly different destinations depending on the sector in which they exhibit abroad. Machinery and hardware concentrate on Germany, the United States and Russia: machinery's three busiest destinations in 2025 were Germany with 25 projects, the United States with 21 and Russia with 17, while hardware and tools went to Germany with 15, Russia with 11 and the United States with 10. Consumer-facing sectors such as textiles, apparel and consumer goods target the United States, Japan and Europe alongside populous emerging markets such as Vietnam and Indonesia: consumer goods ran 18 projects in the United States, 12 in Japan and 11 in Germany, while textiles, apparel and leather goods ran 16 in the United States, 14 in Russia and 12 in France. Transport, logistics and construction decoration favour regional logistics hubs and countries with heavy infrastructure demand: transport and logistics ran 13 projects in Turkey, 12 each in Russia, Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates, and 11 in Germany.
