WOWist AI Audiovisual Wins FITUR AI for Tourism Awards 2026

WOWist IA Audiovisual, developed by WOWIST, has won the third edition of the AI for Tourism Awards 2026, organised by FITUR and SEGITTUR at FITUR Know-How & Export (21-23 January 2026, Madrid). A total of 20 AI solutions competed, judged on innovation, usability, tourist experience, originality, and scalability. The winning solution functions as an immersive 24/7 virtual guide accessible via WhatsApp or the web with no download required: powered by AI, it adopts the persona of historical figures or local experts and responds in the visitor's language using audiovisual content including voice, video, and AI-generated historical recreations. The jury highlighted its scalability across rural destination networks and its conversational co-pilot innovation. Finalists included Sport4DIS (accessibility), a tourist flow management platform, and Fast Innovation Turismo.
