WTM London Elevates Its Tech Offering with the Launch of WTM Travel Tech
RX is launching WTM Travel Tech, a co-located event within WTM London that gets its own hall and separate entrance, debuting at the 2026 edition. The move formalises a segment that has been growing inside the show: RX says the travel technology sector at WTM London is expanding 55 percent year on year, and that 52 percent of visitors are actively looking to meet travel technology companies. WTM London overall expects more than 46,000 trade visitors from over 180 countries, including more than 5,500 qualified buyers. The new event is built around an interactive Innovation Highway covering big data, artificial intelligence, the internet of things and green technology, and a Future Stage theatre running case studies, fireside chats with senior executives and expert panels. Programme topics include digital transformation, AI and intelligent operations, data, payments and fintech, distribution and retail, risk and market disruption, investment and innovation, geopolitics, and platforms and integration. Five advisers have been appointed: Professor Dimitrios Buhalis of Bournemouth University, Rita Varga of RaizUp, Shaon Talukder of GeoTourist, Jane Thompson of ICF and Paul Davies of Mintel. Companies previously present in this segment include Trip.com Group, T2RL, easyJet, Sabre, Almosafer and Tourism Economics. Exhibition Director Chris Carter-Chapman said travel technology is becoming an increasingly important part of the event.
