Wuhan Has 385,000 Square Metres of Exhibition Halls Under Construction, Opening from 2026 to 2027

Wuhan currently has four purpose-built exhibition venues with close to 300,000 square metres of usable exhibition space between them, enough for roughly 15,000 international standard booths. They are the Wuhan International Expo Center at 150,000 square metres, which holds UFI accreditation; the Wuhan International Conference Center at 39,000 square metres, accredited by ICCA; the China Optics Valley Science and Technology Convention and Exhibition Center at 21,000 square metres, also UFI-accredited; and the China (Wuhan) Culture Expo Center at 45,000 square metres. A further 385,000 square metres is under construction: the Wuhan Tianhe International Center at 300,000 square metres, whose first phase is due to complete in 2027; the Hankou North International Trade City hall complex at 50,000 square metres, expected to open in November 2026; and the Chegu International Convention and Exhibition Center at 35,000 square metres, expected in June 2026. That pipeline will materially change the city's hosting capacity over the next two years.
