Art Basel

Art Basel is an annual event held in Basel, Switzerland, from June 17 to June 20, 2027. It serves as a significant global platform for the art world, bringing together collectors, galleries, and artists. The event is open to both the public and professionals, fostering connections and supporting the growth of artistic talent and galleries.

Organized by MCH Group Ltd., Art Basel showcases a wide array of modern and contemporary art. The exhibition is structured into several core sectors, including Galleries for a broad range of works, Statements for solo presentations, Edition for prints, Unlimited for large-scale installations, and Nova for emerging talents. Other sectors like Parcours, Film, and Magazines further enrich the experience. Past editions have featured a substantial number of participants, such as 285 galleries from 38 countries in 2025 and over 300 galleries in 2026.

The event takes place at Messe Basel, Switzerland's largest exhibition center, inaugurated in 2013. Messe Basel offers a total space of 141,000 m² (2013) across five exhibition halls and 25 rooms. Specific halls like Hall 1 (comprising 1.0, 1.1, 1.2), Hall 2 (2.0, 2.1, 2.2), Hall 4 (4.U, 4.0, 4.1), and Hall 5 provide extensive exhibition areas. Additionally, the Congress Center offers over 20,000 m² of event space with 35 rooms.
