Long Beach Comic Con Attendance Jumps 50% Under Its New Owner

Attendance at Long Beach Comic Con rose 50 per cent year on year at the first edition run by Nerd Street Events, which has taken over the convention. The show was held on 5 and 6 September 2026 at the Long Beach Convention Center; the organiser gave the increase in a press release but did not release an absolute figure. The two-day programme covered celebrity appearances, fandom panels, live entertainment, screenings and artist signings. Ben Penrod, president and owner of Nerd Street Events, said the convention has long been a gathering place for comic and geek culture fans in Southern California, and set the next edition for 14 and 15 August 2027 at the same venue, with tickets expected to go on sale in the autumn.
